    I have a 01 VW GTI Vr6 with a code P0638.
STORY: i about a moth a ago my engine blew. so a few days ago i finally put a used engine on to it. the cars was sitting for that long without battery. when i finally started up it came up with a P0638 running at a bout 1000 rpm and not response at the throttle. i called the dealer ship and they told me that the throttle had be aligned. Long story short, they tried to alinged but no luck, the codes comes back on right away.!!. and stills runs at high idle.
i dont know whats alse to do... i barrowed one from a friend and still does the same..i disconected the cable that goes to the TPS and it makes no diference on how the car runs.!!!
anyone have gone with this problem ???

you need to use a REAL VAGCOM to perform a TB adaptation.
