spacers: ECS Tuning 7mm in the rear for now. I'm not rolled or pulled and my C/O's are taking forever to settle. They slowly are going down. Eventually I will sit at maybe 39 front and 34 rear on a 8".

subbing to this thread, can't believe i didnt spot it before.
to the guys running staggered setups and dropped, i'm assuming you're running some camber in the rears and did some fender work?

That is the general way to go. I haven't rolled my fenders yet, so I have narrower spacers on at the moment. I am running camber in the rear, I'm not sure how much, but enough to run a 18x8 ET 34 on 225/40's with rolled fenders.

Anyone know how the rotor offset basis compares between Golf(or Golf TDI) and GTI? Will a given ET produce the same offset matching to the fender??

rotors have nothing to due with final offsets.

Are you guys rubbing with 18x8 ET35 and 225/40 tires. I know tire manufacturers specs are different but just wanted to see if I might be better off getting 215s. Also would be great if you guys would mention if you are rubbing on certain setups.

If you roll your front fenders you will be fine.

Yeah, in the same way that bottoming out comes with the territory of cutting springs perhaps.

hubs are identical in all the golfs...the only difference is the caliper carrier and rotors

anyone that is lowered significantly will rub especially with offsets lower than 45
