So you have an idea of my height... and I like to really drive the car (some track time, lots of twisties). I'm on coilovers and don't really want to fiddle with the height; I think it's perfect. In the picture, I'm on 19s.

I'm really interested in a set of 19x9 et 35 all around. What would it take for me to run these without rubbing, doing a bunch of alignment work, or having to run crazy amounts of stretch? Is it doable?

      Please help!
Pull ur Fenders and u will be good. Mkv platform which fits the same 17x9 et 30

That's why I'm so adamant about getting this to work. The look is astonishing. Thanks boss, appreciate it

Hey guys got some BBS LMs I'm currently rebuilding.
Specs will be 18x8+25(F) & 18x9+27(R) Reverse mounted.
Original specs were +40/42. Have some 205/40/18 Nankangs to mount.
You think I will have any issues with fitment.
Going to be running max camber in rear, some camber up front and guards rolled and pulled if needed.
Car is static also running BC Gold Series coils. Any info or experience in this fitment would be appreciated.

In the front, roll the fender and get the camber dialed in as best you can. Pull the fender if you have to. Rear could use a small pull with max. camber. I ran specs very similar to yours that resulted in the exact same placement of the wheel (18x9.5 et+35) and my lips were touching the inside of the fender.

I am brand new to this forum and was thinking of getting BBS LM 19x8.5 et48 for my mk6 golf TDi... Is anyone else running that on stock suspension?

No offense, but it will look goofy at stock ride height. I highly recommend you lower the vehicle even a little bit to get rid of some wheel gap. The bigger the wheel and smaller the tire, the weirder wheel gap looks. My two cents. Don't recommend it. Suspension first, then wheels.

anyone have any input on 18x9.5 et38 wheels? Currently I have v710s and they're 18x8.5 et45 and I'm sitting right around 24" FTG. I already have my front fenders rolled and pulled a bit and I'm sitting on 225/40s. I know I might have to pull the fronts some more and the rears for sure, but I was wondering if I could be okay with this more aggressive wheel staying on a 225. Reason being I just got new tires in June and I don't want to get rid of them because they're pilot super sports. Was considering going to a 215 worst case but I could be good on a 225 that's ideally what I'd like to stick with

I cant tell you about the tire size and fitment, but on a mk6, 18x9.5 et 38 will not fit up front. the wheel will hit the shock. You'll need at least a 3 mm spacer to clear the shock. That's all I can input here.

So now that I've finally sourced a set of CarLine CM6s for the Golf, I'm keen to get them on. However, I had to pull the front arches ever so slighty to make them work.

I was hoping to run the spec of the wheels both front and back and see whether you think these should be perfect. If you would change anything to help the overall stance, please let me know.

The car is running on the AirLift Slam kit with the chassis notched so there's no real issues there. It's whether the stance looks decent enough.

The rear wheels have a natural camber so I'm not so concerned with them as I'll know the fit. It's the fronts and the overall look that I'm interested in hearing from knowledgeable people like yourselves.

      CarLine CM6 Fronts
      Rear Wheels: 8.5" x 18"
      5x112 - ET33
      Tyre Profile: 205/40/18"

      Rear Wheels: 8.5" x 18"
      5x112 - ET33
      Tyre Profile: 205/40/18"

      ---------------------------

I only tested one of the front wheels since having my front arches pulled ever so slightly and they seem to fit alright, but only just.

I'll post a pic or two and see what you think.

Personally, I'd have liked the front to have come plenty down over the front wheel but my front bumper does the tarmac. Would a smaller wheel help get around this or is there simply nothing else I can do?

Also, one thing playing on my mind is I'm after spriggot rings before front and back. From the pic below, could someone tell me what size rings I'd be needing to ensure the wheels can fit securely onto the hubs.

Any questions, please let me know.

As always, I appreciate all the help over the years so thanks for all your time and effort!

I look forward to hear from you.

They wont fit, you can just give them to me

Have you taken off the front bumper looked under the front to see what is holding you up? Have you trimmed your fender liners? My TT was held up a decent amount by them.

As far as hub rings go, the best way is to measure the centerbore of your wheels

Not the greatest pic, but running 18x9.5 ET36 all around with Neogen 205/40/18's with -3* camber front and rear allowing the fenders to sit on the lip. My fenders aren't even rolled so the plan for next year is something 18x10 all around with a lower offset and rolled fenders.

      Hi Everyone,

I'm considering going with new rubber, but in 235/40/19. In the picture below, my R is sitting on 235/35z/R19 (LM's are 19"x8.5 offset 32, faces are flipped though)

Will the added profile from 235 to 240, affect the car detrimentally? Rubbing? It's not lowered, and if I can get some of that motorsport look, I'd be cool with it.

    15. 03-04-2017 02:55 PM #4540
Sorry, should've read tire profile increasing from 35 to 40 (not, 235 to 240).

Doesn't seem the 235/40/19 tire size is very common on MK6's.

      Hey,

What size tire are you running in the back??

Funnily enough, I've got a set of wheels laying around with similar fitment. Can anyone confirm if these will fit or not? And if they do fit, how flush will they be?

Any help would be a great help so thank you in advance!
