whole frame got chopped up and redone to give it some rear camber and a nice body drop.

Just picked up one of these little guys for $50 shipped. WLtoys A959 1/18 buggy. From what I've seen on youtube, these things haul arse. Seriously haul arse. 2.4ghz, 4WD, oil shocks, 1100mah lipo, lots of aftermarket aluminum upgrades. Should be here on Monday.

      Whoa! That thing is fast!

I did end up buying a couple of aluminum upgrade parts for it before it arrives. Turnbuckles, Metal 38T Spur gear, ball bearings and center prop shaft. Gonna also pick up front hubs and suspension arms also.

Back in 2005, I had a super tricked out Mini-T with a Castle brushless motor. Nearly complete 3Racing aluminum and graphite with a VW baja beetle body on it. Running with an Airtronics MX-3 radio and micro servo. That booger was super fast. Wished I hadn't got rid of it.

Found this Unicorn (kit Savage XX S) on tower hobbies this summer, and I think it's been out of stock everywhere again since. Loads of fun. My first functioning nitro truck. The paint job and body has since been bashed to hell, still looks mostly like a truck. I added the reverse module and replaced the metal brake disks with fiberglass ones (much more durable), put in a heavy duty steering servo saver spring, put on an RPM skid plate, metal throttle servo turnbuckle, quick engine stop, otherwise still stock. Haven't broken anything important. Only problems I've been having is the one way bearing in the pull start likes to slip, and the original metal disk and soft shoe brake pads sucked.

I started a a scaler project and it's my first. Cheaper out with a Chinese D90 and Chinese chassis. GMade scale hardware beadlocks and the rest will be mostly custom work. I don't want to pay for the bolt on RC4WD drivetrain so I'll be hopefully building one soon. I haven't mounted the axles so these pics are just the body sitting on the tires/axles.

That Defender is sweet! I pre-ordered the new Traxxas TRX-4, that should be some fun times, if they deliver it in time (unlike the Ford GT)

I'd seriously love to do up a Toyota Tundra crawler. Not necessarily a hunch fan of the Tundra, but the body looks so dang good on those SCX10 chassis'.

I am crazy and decided that I needed to have the SCX10, SCX10II, and the new Traxxas rig. I just have to work more I guess. I will be sure to start a new thread once it arrives. I know that the Ford GT has started to arrive in retailers. I ordered that thing in February!

Finally got the GT last night. Pretty detailed body. The stock brushed system was good for about 20mph, boo. I put in the VXL setup with the largest pinion the car will accept and got it to do mid 30's on 2s. I plan to get a different castle higher KV system in this baby soon. Handles pretty well totally stock too. The wheels are from a Tamiya RSR Porsche.

Bought a new optima kit. Getting back into it after almost 30 years. Will be running it on lipo with 3100kv brushless.

New Traxxas TRX-4, just released June 1st. Portal axles, 2 speed gearbox, remote locking differentials are all stock. So far I am loving it aside from the bad approach/departure angles.

I've seen a few videos of some rubbing on steeper approaches. can you confirm if it's just the body/bumpers rubbing?

it looks fantastic by the way and I'm going to get one in the same color.

The body on this thing is huge and the front/rear overhangs are pretty long. My SCx10II has a pretty large Jeep body on it, so i lifted it and it works great. This is a great trail truck in stock form. I think that with a different body and tucked in bumpers it will be great on some larger rocks. The body weights about 2lbs. The spare tire, the rack, the molded inner fenders, and the accessories really add up. All things considered I still love it. I plan to put in longer travel shocks and see what the aftermarket brings for bumpers.

This is my lifted SCx10II side by side with the TRX. Notice the massive axle clearance of the TRX compared to the Axial.

I would say it is better than the RTR version of the Axial due to it having a stock 2spd, stock remote locking diffs. The Traxxas is not made for crawling out of the box, but you could do it. I think it is more geared toward trails in stock form, too top heavy and way too long front and rear overhangs. The aftermarket will catch up and turn it into a far better truck than the Axial. The wheels and tires are RC4WD stamped steel 1.9 with their Falken Wildpeak tires.

Got my Optima mostly completed this week. I'm much better at this and much more patient than I was at 12 years old. This was a joy to put together, a really great quality kit. Only installed one part backwards the whole time.

Working on the body this weekend but otherwise I'm stuck until my radio and servo get here next thursday.
