Hmmm that OMP and Eibach bar look familiar. What pistons did you use? The urS4/s6 (aka stock) or something else?

It's great. Love it down here, only problem is that I've only seen 1 mk2 in the 1.5 months I've been here. It was a 90.5-92 Jetta GLI, and that's it. Nothing for sale, nothing driving around.

Well for those of you interested in the work I do...

The rallye golf hasnt change much this year but next year intention is to have some Porsche Caliper mounted in the front. Will update things in time about this.

Meanwhile I completed restoration on the Blue RS2 and sold the car last week which will give me more time to focus on the new project: a ford escort Cosworth.

Here are a few pics when I received the car:

Havent update this thread for a while...

Rallye golf hasnt change much over the last 2 years. Just been enjoying her when I could but here is a picture that I like about her and her new licence plates

However for those interested, the Cossie really got a lot of work done lately. A few changes and ameliorations but most of all a good refresh as the car really needed it

A few pics of how it looks right now

      Both are incredible cars.
      Great work!

Which do you prefer to drive? Are they similar?

      Thank you

Both cars are different but unique in their own way! I like them both for different reasons but if I'd have to keep one and sell the other I'd probably have the rallye golf knowing its actual configuration with the limited motor otherwise I'd sick with the Cossie

      Which is better in snow/rain?
Which is better on dry roads?
      Which is faster?
      Which is more comfortable?

Any pics of the Cosworths engine and interior?

BTW, you got the VW Motorsport knob/boot from me.
Definitely my favorite car ever parked in front of my shop :-)

Wow, what a great thread! Awesome cars man. Would you ever sell the Cossie? I'd have to import it to California but it would be worth it.

Escort Cosworths are fast becoming very collectible....will be fetching $100,000 USD by the time they are eligible for US import in 2021.

I have never really driven both cars in the snow and to be honest I did not exploited enough there performances in the rain to tell you which one would be best. All I can tell you is that their main differences remains in their power to the wheels delivery. One is front wheel drive with rear wheel assistance only when needed (syncro system) and the other, is 66% rear 34% front torque distribution all the time excepted when one wheels needs more traction than the others. The fact also one has a supercharger and the other one has a turbo is also a big difference and changes the power/torque curves quiet a bit.
I like the Rallye golf more for his constant power with instant torque at almost any given RPM. The Escort is laggy but once you know how to play with the gears it becomes a lovely machine to drive and enjoy. Both cars are undoubtedly fast even compare with today's speed standards. I like the comfort of the Ford better as it has some nice huggy Recaro seats. The VW does not and the seating position is more sporty in the Escort than in the Golf or so I found.
Gearbox is noisy with the Ford and not so smooth in the shifting while i found it is the complete opposite with the VW.
Over all I can say I like them both for what they have to offer. To pick just one would be a tough choose but one thing for sure....the escort gets much much more attention on the road than the VW

Will post interior shots of the Cossie later on

And Yes i do remember who you are as I stopped by your work place that one day couple of years ago
