Doesn't #62 engine come from Limited #62? What happened to that one?

Yes the car was at VagKraft last year but I didn't own the car at that time. It was the PO who brought it.

You said it came from a car made in Mexico that you got from Canada. Doesn't really answer what happened to the original Limited the engine came from.

As for the exhaust manifold, few people have asked me about it and here is the part number for those interested.

      # 027 253 033 SS

Only the last 2 letters change if you compare it to a a regular PL/9A manifold.

      Little update:

Time to do some work. Must admit I had a few tears in my eyes when I first removed the first screw on the Rallye. Even thu I'm not swapping the car with a plain simple motor, the idea of tearing down something in perfect working condition got me thinking a few second but....can't go back now. Half the work is done.

Awesome! Love seeing the little differences in different cars (the IC mounting, power steering bottle, exhaust manifold and support etc).

Few more shots once everything reassembled

And a crappy vido of the first start up. Only issue is that I need to replace the idler pulley from the tensioner. It's a bit noisy but certainly not as loud as the G-lader.

WHat injection does a Limited run? Digi-1? is the ECU different from a normal 8v?

It's the same engine management as a G60 8v so Digi 1. Luckly I also had the ECU from the limited so basically it was plug and play. Only thing I had to do was to work the connection (extend or shortened wires) while still using the original wiring harness.

Cool. What is the part number on the ECU if I may ask?
