So this comes up every now n then, usually when it's cold or when I haven't started the car all day. It goes off once the cars warmed up and I turn off/on the car. Don't wanna go to the dealership n get it checked coz stage 2 tune. But I'm still under warranty for like 11k miles

Ok,I've got a stupid question. If I were to install a catch can on my 1.8TSi powered Jetta...would that mess with the emissions systems ?

No. Also, from what I've read, catch cans aren't as necessary on the current generation of motors as they used to be

My 2012 SE has drl's but they don't work. I have just a headlight switch but there is a parking light icon on my turn signal lever.
There's no light icons for my dash.
I've been looking around but all I can find is people trying to shut them off.
Has anyone run into this problem? Id like them on so I don't need to waste my headlights when its raining or foggy

Most likely secondary air injection for CARB requirement in California.
Fuelly | 2012 GLI M/T | APR Stage 2 | SouthBend Stage 2 Daily | Forge Short Shift | CTS Turbo Intake | GFB DV+ | AWE Tuning Touring Turbo-back | Unibrace UB | CTS Turbo Catch Can | NeuSpeed TOP | ECS Throttle Pipe | I have VCDS if you need it!

What's the name / model number of the radio that comes with the connectivity package? I just bought a 2015 Jetta 1.8T SE and would like to have the Android Auto, GPS, Backup Camera, etc.

Stupid question but does anyone know the length of the section on the stock catback exhaust from where the clamp that connects to the downpipe ends and the straightest part right before it bends right? I have an cutout and I want to put it right after that clamp that connects the downpipe to the catback but I don't know if it's going to fit. The cutout is 11.25" in length and if it fits in going to have to weld the hangers to the cutout which isn't a big deal. Thanks

I have looked but not find concrete information.

Does the 2017 Jetta Sport have a lower stock ride height than the GLI?
It appears to me from pictures of stock cars that the wheel well gap is larger with the GLI than with the Sport. Even when the Sport comes with 17" wheels vs 18".

CPLA just means you're going to have a heck of a time finding aftermarket components, having to use several different vehicles in vag to tweak your car, and if you have a SIMOS 12 ecu; well, good luck.

      Found this:

Our SE model doesn't feature navigation or advanced infotainment, just a single-line, monochrome RCD 310 standard audio system. Audio from its six speakers sounded merely OK. A-pillar-mounted tweeters give this system better clarity than the four-speaker rigs that you'll find in many vehicles in this price range, but only just so. If you really care about what the music coming out of the stereo sounds like, you'll want to look upmarket. VW's own amazing Fender audio system, for example, is worth more than a cursory listen.

Audio sources feeding the RCD 310 include AM/FM radio, SiriusXM satellite radio, a 3.5mm analog audio input, a single-slot CD player, and VW's archaic MDI-interface, which uses a proprietary cable to connect to the 30-pin ports in older iPhones and iPods. You'll need an adapter to utilize the newer Lightning connector that Apple has adopted for its most recent portables. You can also plug USB storage devices into the RCD 310 to play back MP3 and WMA files, but the proprietary 30-pin MDI cable must first be swapped out for a USB pigtail. Why that USB port isn't the standard is beyond me.

      Awesome thanks.

Yesterday I was looking at what it'd cost to upgrade to some of the better factory radios, and they are just too expensive. I'll probably just go with something aftermarket.

A MIB2 Infotainment retrofit was going to be like $2,000.

      Rochey,

Did you look at your MFA menu to see if there is an option to turn them back on?

Make sure there isn't any tape over the TFL terminal on your headlight switch. You can dis-engage the DRL's by covering it up.

Check to see if relay 173 is still there. Inspect it, and check for continuity.

Noooo! Let me save you some time and a S*** ton of $$. Look at http://xtrons.com/head-units/custom-...olkswagen.html

I've purchased three decks from them so far and have never had a problem. Plus, I think we can agree their prices are untouchable for what you get. With an Android OS, they are compatible with the JB4 app and give real time feedback without having to BT your phone. If you get one, hit me up and I can walk you through it.
