Searching the forum did not yield any similar results so I thought I'd create a new thread.

As of late, I've been noticing a white line on the inside of the drivers side window after I lower it and then put it up. It runs the length of the window that has been rolled down. It doesn't look like a scratch, more like a residue being deposited. I've dropped it off at the dealership since I'm still under warranty. I'll post results once I find out.

    Any thoughts/input welcome.

Window could need adjustment. Could be rubbing.

Could also be some yummy stuff got in between the door and window and is smearing

Yeah. That's what I was thinking. Hopefully it won't take too long.

Do you park next to or under a tree?

No. Underground parking. Plus it's on the interior side, not exterior.

    OMG I LOVE VORTEX!!!

After washing my car yesterday , I noticed the exact same thing. Although there are three lines on mine. I used to have a Neon (notorious for having scratches on the windows) so I immediately FREAKED. Then I realized it was on the inside and rubbed off. I have to go for my 15k service soon so I'll get the issue addressed but at least I'll know what's up after you tell me

Same story with mine. Garage parking at home and work, weird residue streaks on the inside of my passenger's side window.

Is it just grease/lubricant from the rollers?

I've had this happen on past vehicles both from the roller's lubricant as well as crap from outside my car getting on the rollers when I rolled the window down. I had luck with the following process:

    1. Clean the gunk off of your window
    2. Roll the window all the way down
    3. Roll the window all the way up
    4. If the window is still not clean, GoTo Step 1
    5. If the window is clean, Congratulations!

There can't be unlimited gunk on those rollers, right? ...Right?

I have it on my driver side window, I thought it was from the door panel not being put in correctly after tint, but it looks like I have some residue still and its been months since I fixed the window part.
