Captain obvious observation: You can't say that a person's health problems might be attributed to weight...it's like the elephant in the room (literally).

My wife's extended family has some hefty people...350lb women and a string of men that died early from heart attacks. They all complain about arthritis, diabetes, back pain...complain about the doctor...the heat, heart burn, circulation problems...

But nobody is allowed to say : Lose some weight, and most of this stuff magically goes away. I wish our health care system was allowed to be more forceful in these situations. People eating themselves to death.

I'm a transplant and I agree. For such a tiny place it really covers the entire spectrum. Ultrarich (Fancy) vs ulta poor (Hartford). Stamford vs the boonies. Yankess vs Red Sox. vwtool vs senor peligro.

I also ****ing hate this weather. I thought New England had similar weather to Canada, so I figured it'd be an easy adjustment. Not this humid 90 degree ****. /csb

Why are blue LEDs so ****ing bright? Seriously, they can make red, yellow, and green ones that don't sear your retinas like you're staring at a naked Chernobyl fuel rod, but the blue ones....I've got cell phone chargers capable of lighting up an entire room enough to walk around at night. Why the hell are they so ungodly intense?

If the walk from the parking garage/lot to the office causes you to wheeze the whole ride up in the elevator, you might want to consider some lifestyle changes.

      I'm just sayin'.

If it weren't for the abolishment of the Trollidex, I believe it would have only been a matter of time. The similarities are eery to say the least. I can't be the only one to see this.

Were you hoping for Winnipeg in July (80 and low humidity) and Vancouver in January (40 and rainy)?

Why do people feel the need to text while they are driving down the road? Can't you wait 15 minutes? In fact, you drive so slow while you're texting, it takes you even longer to get where you're going so you can text safely.

I'm not talking about highways, this happens on the small back roads around here that you wouldn't take if you were driving a long distance.

Now, on the highways, if you feel the need to text, use the right lane. It's so frustrating when there's only two lanes, and you sit in the left lane going 65 while texting and eating.

Around here, if you're going less than 80 in the left lane, you're holding up traffic.

I grew up in Quebec. I figured the summers would be a few degrees warmer year round, but not by much. I also didn't know it would get ungodly humid. Montreal has bad weather in that it has muggy (but not like here) summers, and bitter winters. I thought I was getting an upgrade with similar summers, but slightly better winters. I never had a green christmas before moving here. I've had like 3 or 4 of them in 8 years.

We got lots of US tv growing up, so seeing NYC and Boston have real winter storms, and never really hearing about the bad summers gave me a skewed view. Also, my wife is from Maine, so I spent lots of time there before moving here. I figured Maine weather was like the weather back home, and didn't think a 3.5 hour drive could make thatmuch of a difference.

You're in the wrong part of New England. Connecticut mostly has mid-Atlantic State weather.

guys. I just found the most monster spider ever in my apartment hallway.

....So of course I took the only logical step and went straight to big 5 down the street and bought an airsoft gun, with the intent of gunning that mother****er down. Well, I came back, peered around the corner and the ****ING THING IS GONE.

So uh yea, now im locked (cause dammit, this spider is so big it can probably open doors!) in my apartment. I need to go get some spider repellant.

Why does every single person who is ever in front of me at one of those self checkout machines that stores have completely incompetent? If you can't figure out the simple prompts on the screen and need to ask 50 questions to the attendant, use the regular cashier and get out of the way.

There should be some sort of system where if you can't figure it out and be on your way in 5-10 minutes it stabs you with an HIV needle.

I hate when dreams are so realistic you're not totally sure you're awake. Actually, I'm not sure I hate it, but it's just really weird and puts me out of sorts when I'm trying to reorient my brain in the morning.
