Yeah, I feel ya on winter... not keen on having to order a winter set right away.. But I went through this with the Camaro too since I had delivery around the same time of year. I will be driving my ST through winter though.

Cool Gotta go with your gut! I hear that though. I went through hell with the Camaro pre-order... However, we've had good luck with our Fords, so I'm taking a leap of faith. Not too worried.

One thing I like about first year production... is that I often prefer not to have a lot of the extra's that get thrown on each year as the model evolves. And along with that, the price climbs when things get added.
Incentives right now make it hard to say no though in Canada.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested, will report with findings.
Cool, definitely share your thoughts if you get that test-drive

Well, I can't knock your taste I'll definitely share when it arrives. I'm sure a lot of people will have em before mine arrives since they're already landing and mines 2 months away. But I'll def be taking pic's right away & share my 2 cents.
Clearly you and others don't see what's going on here.

My local dealer just called me. Their first one has arrived. I will probably go there tomorrow and test drive it. I just have a feeling, that the interior will be the deal breaker for me. I'm still happy driving my 2010 GTI, but I always have an eye out for other new cars I might want.

Absolutely. I'm hearing they're trickling in to dealers in my area so hopefully in the next few days

Ordered mine just the other day. There are a few on the lots around here, but they all have options. Ordered a base ST in Oxford White, can't wait!

I agree that DCT-only would be a bad idea, but I think Ford is doing themselves a disservice by not offering the Focus and Fiesta STs with a dual-clutch transmission. They've yet to build a sport-oriented version of it, and I think that's a mistake that will haunt them in future vehicle development.

saw black one unexpectedly driving in traffic the other day. was taken back as i didn't think they were on lots already. looks like a really nice little aggressive package. Honestly, as much as i love the Abarth, I feel it's dead in the water with the release of this car.
      so it goes... ಠ_ಠ

I was in the market to buy a car in May 2013, maybe stretch it a bit longer.

So unfortunately I missed out on the Fiesta ST, but it was number 1 on my list.

I will own one eventually though!

I drove them at the Ford ST Academy and absolutely loved it to death.

I walked around one of these at the local Ford lot a bit ago and the car was just too cartoonish looking for me...I just didn't think the ST packaging fit the car.

Give me DSG type transmission and I will buy one today.
Now I chose POLO GTI over Fiesta.

The gray oem wheels with red calipers are a must and for only $375 its a no brainer. The silver with non-painted calipers combo looks terrible.

Anyone can paint calipers red, hence why it looks so cheesy now, and the dark wheels are meh.

No, not anyone. They can sure try but they'll never make it look as good or last as a factory spray.

Personal opinion, they make the ugly stock silver wheels actually look decent

Just shy of $23k, opted for a sunroof and the darker wheels.
