Thanks and yes Konig Rennform 18x8 et32 MPSS 225/40 18. Offset may be too low, but hey.. rubbing and poking are two of my favorite hobbies.

I was looking at them myself. Are you on stock suspension? I haven't really done much research on them, is that the only available offset in that size? I'm probably staying on stock for awhile and I don't want any rubbing going on. Ha.

I was told by multiple vendors that Konig is no longer manufacturing the Rennform. 18x8 does (did) come in et45 but they are sold out everywhere I looked, so I went with these. Similar style wheels from OZ, Vossen, HRE are way more expensive and I was not willing to pay the premium.

Well crap, that sucks. I probably won't be picking them before they go completely extinct. Hopefully I can pick a set up off ebay at a later date. Love the look and the price.

Some brakage stuff happened today, the 18" winters no longer work though...not that that makes me sad though

Job isn't done yet as the install is more involved than just a swap, still some finishing touches need doing and having to run new e-bake cables right up to the lever makes things a pita

The front rotors are 355mm and the rears are 335mm or roughly 14.5" and 13.5"s.

      Hello,

      Today I installed an EcoHitch:

It was a great day to run some junk to the dump...

My plan for the wiring connector didn't work out. I'll come up with a new plan. Until then, it tucks into the bumper nicely when it's unneeded. See more details about my install HERE.

Just remove the restrictor from stock (OEM) block and you're good. It makes clutch engagement more "sensible"

It reminds me of the clutch in my old Mk4 Golf. Not sure if there was a delay valve in the Mk4 5MT, but it was definitely more predictable and second nature to me.

The clutch now does what I want more consistently. Now that I think about it, I had a challenging time teaching my wife to drive stick in a Mk7 some time ago. Perhaps the delay valve was the cause?

Thanks. I'll definitely be getting the block. If it wasn't my birthday and needed gift ideas for people, I'd just do the block removal mod. But might as get the block if I'm getting it for free. Ha.

Scraped the ice off her as the sun was rising.

And to think that yesterday I was entertaining the idea of switching out my X Ice tires for my PSS. Another week should be adequate I think.

I also bought a bundle of detailing supplies from gtechniq. And ordered a RSB and front and rear endlinks from Emmanuel Design.

I made the mistake of prematurely putting on my summer tires and we just got hit with a huge snow storm lol... Got it flashed Uni stg 1+ too and I can't even get down my own entrance, so, I'm borrowing a stupid Fiat 500 in the meantime while the snow melts.

Technically, yesterday and today, I stripped the wax, used Iron X decon, washed, clay barred, 2 step Adam's paint correction, Adam's paint sealant and finally Adam's super VRT on all the black trim and tires. Now it's raining outside...

Took it on a drive on country roads and shot a few abandoned buildings in the process:

Not just today, but this weekend went to Water By The Bridge. My Mk7 was plan C. Plan A, my '85 Cabriolet, lost its alternator and battery last week with no time to get replacements. Plan B, my '81 Rabbit blew a coolant line in my friends' driveway as we were leaving Friday morning. Unfortunatey we didn't have time to wash or detail my Mk7 and drove to the show along with my '88 Cabriolet. Ended up taking first in the Mk7 class! I missed the awards (was out of range of the speakers) so one of my friends snagged the trophy for me. I guess other Mk7 owners weren't happy and boo'd. Come on guys, no need to be *******s. The VWOA cars had more mods than most of the Mk7s there lol.

Who owns the Lapiz Stage3+ Golf R that was at the one booth? We were just curious how it's running.

Total trip add about 2 miles on before I thought to reset the extended period.
