For the west coast it has been a bitch!!

^^ yes, Race Mode asap LOL.......... I find with the larger wheels on now Normal Mode is quite good as well. It is a great car, but I'm getting used to the horsepower

I'm sure it was, probably in a different way. You seem to get so much rain, which is not that better than snow. A snow day is fun to go play in an empty parking lot, but all the salt and dirt on the road afterwards sucks.

I'm still jealous to see more and more people putting their summers on though haha!

      Enjoy the car!

Actually we got close to 3 feet of snow in 4 or 5 days, a new record!

This car keeps blowing my mind ... first the snow performance in the recent storm, now the epic mileage I just got on a non-spirited drive while sipping a coffee... 6.8L/100km.

Any GTA owners switched out to summer's yet? I'm considering it this coming weekend, looks like fairly consistent double-digit temps are on the way.

I am dying to put my prets on... I just don't trust the weather right now, I commute up the escarpment and the roads are still greasy early mornings and we are supposed to get a couple of cms of the white stuff before turning to rain on thursday still. Maybe 2 more weeks and i am gonna do it.

I switched back to my summers on Friday. The past week has been warm and the roads have been dry for a while now in Calgary.

Yeah, I have the same problem. Now I want power folding mirrors and low-profile headrests for the rear seats.

I got mine from e-acca.com and would definitely order from them again! I ordered on a Tuesday and the lights were delivered to me in Winnipeg the following Monday. The package comes with the ROW wiring harness, but I ended up ordering the BEC harness because I definitely don't have the skills to run wiring from the front of the car (not installed yet, so I'm currently driving with the driving lights coded down to 12).

Tip if you order from them: make sure to order in EUR, it's significantly cheaper than their USD price when converted to CAD!

Also, while they will declare a lower value for you if you request it, I'm glad I changed my mind and declared at full value... customs had opened the box and gone through the shipment!

If you're going to spend a thousand Canadian pesos on OEM lights, why not wait for the 2018s which look as much better than the Euro 2017s as the Euro 2017s look compared to the N.A. version?

      Because:
      - which one looks better is very subjective
      - current ones will be much more special (every lowly Golf will have the new LEDs, not just the R)
      - availability (it'll be quite a while yet before they will be available in the oem aftermarket, they first have to have enough stock for car production)
      - cost... I spent ~ CAD $730 shipped including taxes and duty at full value declared (not including the BEC harness)... the new ones will initially be much more expensive again since VW won't offer them as an upgrade kit right away - see my point above
      - compatibility... likely not an issue, but I don't think it's a guarantee that all the functions can be coded into non-Mk7.5 cars

Those were my reasons, so your views on those points might be very different (i.e. not trying to say you're wrong by waiting for them).

    23. Yesterday 06:22 PM #8623
Some advice we got when we were looking for our R. Buy when you want it. You can always wait for the next best thing. When the 2018 are available you'll want the 2019. That's how I ended up waiting 13 years to buy a new car.....

X2, I got my tails from e-acca.com and paying in Euro was better deal than usd.

except I didn't have customs open my parcel
