I'm old enough to remember the last vestiges of people having Sting Rays, the older kids in the neighborhood had them (I'm 42), my first bike was a Huffy Challenger from K-Mart, I had it from like 83-88, towards the end, it was pretty damaged, the one handlebar was slightly bent, and I still treated it alternately like my best friend and I hated it.

I can't even find a picture of one that was like mine now. Lol.

I do have a repop Pea Picker from 2005, and a Black Friday Krate Chinese copy from a few years back that I put a 20 inch wheel on the front of.

the repop Hutch bikes look amazing, but they're more than I could ever afford for such a frivolous purchase, and I'm getting too fat for 20" bikes. I would love a retro 24" or 29" done up like a vintage bike.

I just picked up a mid-school Haro f4 for myself.

Can't wait to see painted panels Harrison. Or what you finalize for exhaust.

That red 29" is gorgeous. Now if only they made Skyway Tuff wheels that big. Lol. Would also be interesting to have someone 3D print a set of Motomags in metal that big.

sorry for jacking the thread about your gorgeous truck, man. Lol.

Yeah, I ride with a group of guys every now and again after work and they all have 29" Big Rippers. I usually ride my Surly 1x1 mtn bike but sometimes I break out one of my BMX bikes. I feel like a midget.

I'll post pics when I get the cab jammed out Rob

Although at this point I'm considering paint the whole body green and only the roof white. Love it or hate it, I wanted to go back with a factory color and it's one of my favorites!

guys i didnt want to post anything because harrison told me not to...

but i got a preview of the paint a while back.

now bear in mind, he also chose to go in a mildly different direction, which is why the reveal is taking so long. he told me loved to fab so much, that he didnt know when to stop, which lead to its current appearance.

i checked it out when i was recently down there looking at the bel air.

I didn't see that until Monday morning, thanks for the spoiler

Well, I've been working on getting the back half of the exhaust done for a few days and once again I've found myself cutting on another crossmember. I'd wanted to leave this space open in case I ever went with a rear mount fuel tank, but I was having trouble running the exhaust any other way because it's 3" and the truck is so low (which puts the panhard bar directly in the way of where I'd wanted to run it). I didn't have any pipe large enough so I used the next best thing I hand, which was 1/4" bar stock. I bent up a few hoops and proceeded to notch the crossmember so that I could pass the exhaust through it without hitting the underside of the bed.

And it was about this point right here when I somehow threw my back out for the first time in my life and had to go home.

So now I'm sitting at home drinking beer instead of working on the truck.

I should be more careful in general, I really wasn't even moving anything big. I was sitting, bent over and was moving my plasma cutter from one side of the frame to the other. Mistake.

And to be honest, the reason I didn't post the paint pics is because I only took a couple in the paint booth and you really can't tell what color it is. When I got to the paint shop they had already wrapped everything for transporting it back to my shop!

My dad used to say that you have to take good care of your eyes, your back and your feet. They're all easy to screw up and can have a lifetime effect.

He threw out his back on a few occasions, the worst being when he was merely getting out of bed (he was probably about 60 at the time). He twisted and it 'popped'. He was in rough shape for a week and a half.

Take it easy and get back into it slowly. Remember, the damage is cumulative.
