Wow! Scary stuff but I'm glad it is getting better, albeit, slowly.

Wow, scary stuff with the DVT. Hope all continues to improve.

Very impressed with the Creo surfacing. Not at all easy to recreate something like that from scratch. I'm assuming the shade and spin is part of your day job?

Well, it sounds like the prognosis is good and I'm glad you have family to help with sharing the care. That can be a real Godsend.

The car can sit while really important things are going on. Just concentrate on taking good care of her.

Scary news, but I'm happy to hear she's back at home with you, and it seems like it's going the right direction.

The car can wait. People always come first.

As someone who has had a fair number of medical issues over the past 15 years, I totally feel for you. I got a little nauseous reading it.

Family comes first and foremost, and you will now have even a tighter bond with your wife and daughter. Also, something to hold over your daughter's head when she becomes a teenager.

I hope everything turns out OK, and I wish nothing but luck to your wife. Horrible ordeal to have to go through, too young.

Good news, wife is bouncing back. Swelling is going down, pain is going down, INR levels are in range to stop with the shots. Wife can now carry baby and walk, so things are looking up.

      On topic.

Finished rebuilding the new/used Mallory distributor, ready to rock.

I bit the bullet and just ordered a new OE style thermostat instead of rebuilding the one I have. Also ordered a new fuse box because the fuse tabs in mine are somewhat corroded, and a new clear fusebox cover since mine was missing.

The last of my new wheels is on it's way, went with Euromeister Fuchs in 16x7 all around. Pics earlier in the thread.

For tires I'll be running Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 in 195/55 all around.

great reviews and budget friendly, especially in that size.

Did some illustration work for PMB performance, in return I'll be getting a set of Bilsteins. So that's awesome.

Once it's warmer our and baby can be in the garage with me more work will get done. For now I'm just collecting parts.

That is on topic (the only topic that really matters) and it's good to hear. Errrrr... Read.

I really know little about those Mallory units. Is it capable of putting a vacuum advance on it or is it mechanical only? I would assume you'd need a different distributor body, but it's possible they're more modular than that. Either way the tuneability is second to none as far as I know.

For future reference I've heard of people glass bead blasting the original fuse holders with good results.

Illustration work for Bilsteins. Niiice. My kids are older now and I don't think I'd be able to drag my older one into the garage, but I still have hopes for the little one.

I am so glad to hear that your wife is on the mend. Scary stuff. I'm sure the baby is thrilled.

You know what's odd? I literally want my whole world Martini striped and Gulf Racing colored, and my initials are PMB.

Thanks guys for the kind words. Seriously relieved that the wife is getting better.

It's mechanical only. Bolts right up, I'll swap on the little arm on the bottom but otherwise it's plug and play. Pertronix installed too so no setting points. Lightyears better than the 009 distributor it had previously.

Glad all is doing better on the home-front.

Also, glad you met up with Eric (PMB) and he's hooking you up. A good 'ol 914 guy

Started refinishing the Euromeisters. Did a faux RSR because I didn't want to get them anodized. Lip is the stock machined/polished, inner width of the lip and the pedals are dull aluminum, and background is flat black. Pic was taken when they were still a bit wet so it looks glossy.

Loving how the first one came out.

Messy garage, and car isn't on the floor, but these will give you an idea. I'll update again with pics once I drop the car onto the ground.

      front:

      rear:

Still have to raise the front a little, too much rake here. But everything fits well all around. In the rear I had previously rolled the inner lip to fit 205's so these fit without a problem.

Haha, yeah sure. I will probably be headed to the Eurowerks weekly meets once this thing is going, probably the best to check these out in person. I'm a little predisposed at the moment.
