Picked up a pair of rep 337 skirts for pretty cheap but they needed lots of love to look nice again. When I went to meet the guy he had assured me they were OEM but once I arrived I realized they were not. Gave him a super low offer and he accepted so I took it on as a project to do over my reading week.

Started by sanding off the old chipped up paint. Next I began filling some holes that were on the under side of the skirts. Also repaired a crack as best I could.

I let those dry and waited till the next day because I ran out of sunlight. Went over all the holes again and filled them in nicely. Day after that I did my final sanding and had them prepped for primer.

Finally, I laid down a few coats of primer and that's where I will stop for now. Gonna sand them smooth once the primer is dry, and then bring them to the car to fit them up properly in case I need to sand down anymore parts to make them fit. Once it gets warmer outside they will be painted and installed until I can find some clean OEM skirts 🤙🏼

Did a little test fit on my sisters car after final sanding. Getting excited to put them on my car now that I know they fit nicely and look great on the car.

Made it down to the garage for a quick test fit. Skirts fit but need a fair amount of little touches to fit nicely. Besides that I love how they look

Haha not a dumb question it's an odd car. Only Mexico and Canada got these it's a MK4.5 Jetta city (2008). In Mexico it's called an el Classico I believe. Comes with a 2.slow motor.

Been waiting for a good deal on a set of wheels to come up and I've finally found one!
Today I picked up a set of four Neuspeed RSE05 lightweight wheels with Dunlop Direzza Zii tires that are half worn (225/45 R17)

      Specs:
      17x8
      5x100
      ET35
      57.1mm hub
      17lbs (w/o tires)

The wheels fit just like oem and take the cone seated lug bolts and plastic bolt caps! The fitment is as perfect as it can get for my taste and I'm very happy with how they look I have them installed with my 10mm front and 18mm rear spacers but there's a slight chance they'll rub so I'll have to keep an eye out for them. These should definitely help me pick up speed quicker and they look awesome

      More parts
Just picked up a set of stainless steel front and rear brake lines for a great price!! The fronts are very lightly used and the back are new. Can't wait to see how these feel I've been wanting to upgrade my lines for a while now

I thought I read somewhere that mk4s use braided lines stock?

I believe the R32 has braided lines from stock but mine has rubber lines for sure

ill find a link if youre interested, but I found a whole thread where it was discovered that under that rubber is actually Kevlar (to which braided steel would be a downgrade).

Little something I've been wanting to try out. Total cost of this was $14 for the sharpie paint pens.

Still need to do the other side but really digging how it turned out

      Lexan headlight covers✔️

Had a set shipped over from Scarborough got a good deal on them Getting really close to the euro look I'm after. Can't wait to take the car out in the light so I can snap some proper photos with all the changes that have happened.

Another cheap and cool interior mod to add to the car is almost finished ✔️

I still need to run wires through the headliner and down the A-pillar to the dimmer switch so these will turn on with my night time lights. Total cost of the mod was ~$3 and it'll give that nice accent lighting that people pay fortunes for with the W8 sunroof console
