What's up guys, just picked up my new(to me) 2013 gli.
22800 miles still under warranty blah blah blah. Now for the good stuff.
It's already sitting on wrd coils which surprisingly ride wayyy smoother then the bc's I had on my b7 Passat.
      19 inch rotiform inds
And that's about it for now...
The plan well, the plan is to go stage 2 full bolt ons with a budget of 4K. Well see how far I get.
Just ordered a slu of cts turbo parts since they're having the tax sale.
Down pipe intake and turbo throttle pipe.
As well as ordering a neuspeed fmic in the near future
What am I missing? Do u think my goal of 275 to the wheels is possible? Look forward to your feed back,

I think 275 wheel is possible if you have gen 2. If itsa gen 3 might be a tad more difficult but still possible!

I have a 2012 with apr stage 2 tune, apr stage 1 and 2 intake, forge dv and hnr cup kit. Probably the fastest car ive ever had. Not sure on the power its putting down, but as my daily and family car it can sure hold its own. Good luck and congrats.

Yeah I got the gen 3 it's got positives and negatives but I'm being optimistic with 275 to the wheels on stock turbo n pump gas. Only time will tell 🏼️

      I wouldn't expect to see 275 whp on a $4k budget.

I'm probably going down the same route. Stage 2 bolt ons with stage 2 APR tune is what I'm planning for my gen3. I think with all of that done, it'll be shy oto 275. Maybe try running a jb1/4 In conjunction with your tune? What's everyone think about that?

Quick install on that throttle pipe, about 2 hours. Would have been faster if I had a lift vs just jacks but hey what can you do lol

Sounds like you are off to a good start

What software do you plan on running? That will really determine if you'll be able to hit your 275WHP goal.

You know I was over all happy with the bc's UNTIL I drove this car with wrd coil overs. The price difference is HUGE and I favor the ride on the wrd's which supervised the hell out of me. The fact that I was maxed out low on my bc's could have a lot to do with the rough ride though. If u wanna just go low and save some money I'd look at wrd's or even race lands. I know I know RACELANDS?! But my gf has them on her 2.5 mk6 and they ride just fine imo. One thing I didn't like about the bc's was this clicking I would get when turning the steering wheel all the way left, it annoyed the hell out of me on my Passat.

I'm really looking into apr stage 2 ecu/tcu tune after I finish up with bolt ons. After getting the throttle pipe I was thinking of getting the neuspeed discharge pipe, but saw the fmic comes with both throttle pipe and discharge pipe so maybe I'll swoop the fmic and sell the cts throttle pipe I just installed.

      Nice!

I plan on getting that full Neuspeed kit as well, I love the fit and finish of their products. Let me know if you decide on going that route, I can get you a good deal on everything

Yeah I'm thinking of going that route, I emailed neuspeed since they are pretty local to me (about a 30 min drive) to see if they'd be into maybe swapping out the throttle pipe that the fmic kit comes with for the factory intercooler delete brackets since I literally just bought this cts pipe a week ago. Shot in the dark im sure but fingers crossed.
What kind of deal r we talking though? Slide into my pm's lol. Neuspeed fmic and factory intercooler delete pricing please

Thanks for the reply. Im just looking to lower my car enough to take the wheel gap away nothing to crazy so I'm sure the coils would feel different then your Passat.
Did you ever have your coils at a more normal drop.? they ride the same.?
BC coils have the adjustable damping so i figured for under 1k its hard to not give them a shot. But then again if they make some clicking noise i wouldn't want that either lol. :banged:

Im in the same boat as you with parts coming in. Im waiting for my TBE to come in anyway now

Lol u know what I never did have it at a "normal" drop lol. Soon as I installed I dropped it to about one finger from maxed low then after the tdi news hit and I knew I was getting rid of it I maxed it out. The ride was always smooth but if the road was bumpy or wavy you def were bouncing around. I'm sure you'll be fine if you just get rid of the wheel gap and don't mind spending the extra funds on the bc's
