I recently purchased this running project. Everything works just fine... all gauges work, all lights work, it runs lovely... however, the wiring is a bit of a mess and i really need to tidy some of it up so i can properly mount the fuse box as right now it's just kind of hanging down

say hello to my wiring tracing fun....

it's not as bad as this makes it out to be... pretty much everything is plugged in to something... but there are a few things that are just disconnected and i haven't a clue where they go, bently isn't helping much in this department. so i thought i'd go to you guys and see if you know where these go or come from?

      ------------------------

This loom comes from another loom going to the firewall. I have no idea where any of these go, this is pretty much the worst of the excess wiring.

these 2 are plugged in from the above loom

This relay just says "ACC RELAY" on the label... so it doesn't help much. from googling 161 vw relay, it shows the leak detection pump... which i'm fairly sure is part of the EVAP system. Since i'm not using it.... i can toss it, right?

This relay also says "ACC RELAY" on the label, it's 147 as well, which as far as i can tell is the AC system... this is not there as well. So can i get rid of this? or does it tie into the fan motor system somehow?

This relay is 94... no info, not tagged, not sure what it is, and google is leading me with information for all relays for 1994 VWs.

      What was the donor car?

The relays are not too hard since they have a part number on them.

94 = "VW RELAY # 94 HEADLIGHT 191906383B GOLF JETTA PASSAT" on ebay.

Wires in the last photo might go to your rear wiper motor.

Man... i wish i knew what it came out of... it's an OB2 MK3, but that's all i know.

      thanks for the other 2!

i'm pretty positive the fusebox holder needs to be extended... the fusebox itself seems just too tall for that area as well.
