That's amazing! I remember shopping there as a kid. My parents always told me we were going to "Monkey Ward" to get me excited about it. Did you see the date code on those beauties?

thats a shame that interior pic looks so promising... i bet this thing is worth >$4k in parts though!

they did(do?) salt the roads in jolly old england, so id imagine it picked up a fair bit of that rust over there somewhere along the way...

tires are cheap, so no huge issue there. but if its rusty, thats definitely a pass...

      Shame.

Maybe you could use it as a base to build something like this? Imagine mudding in a Bentley on 38" swampers!

That's a 20 or 30 year old tire. The four-digit date codes we know were only implemented in 2000.

While we're looking around... Right in beautiful downtown Burbank..

Not nearly as cool as the T1, but it's looks to be substantially less rusty and smelly...

I've seen Eilersen sofas more expensive than this Bentley. And they're not even leather like the one on the car.

Might make for a nice engine swap base or just get it back to roadworthy.

I find the big bumper cars aesthetically displeasing.

Agree 100%, I wonder if a swap is easy, or if they completely changed the mounts beneath... we know who to ask.

That's a pass all the way around. You're gonna spend several grand getting other bumpers on there and you won't be fooling anyone into thinking it's older once they sit inside.
Plus a 74 is a bit less desirable anyway.
and its going to need all/most of the same stuff as that T1 would from sitting around so long, but its going to be worth 1/3 as much and generally be a less desirable and way more complicated car once its done.

but yes, the bumper mounts are the same - except for the covers. the body colored covers on the front bumpers on the rubber bumper shadows screw on. theyre integral to the body and tucked inside the bumper above the bracket on the early cars. so that part wont be right without bodywork

nope nope nope all the way around...
