Also this is freaking awesome. Storage idea for the Wrangler Unlimited that helps the seats fold flat.

Am I missing something here, the dealer burnt your Camaro to the ground and they aren't offering you a deal on a new SUV? Seems like an opportunity to get one real cheap.

They're not planning on keeping the car long I thought? I'm sure they can get a good deal on it as well.

I am speculating that is why they swapped her Malibu loaner to a brand new Acadia Denali. It isn't a loaner. They pulled it off the sales lot a technically a different dealer since it is GMC. My guess is they will try to dump it on her. They are 16% off right now, so clearly the dealer has a ton of room.

This purchase will be long term. Camaro was short term before kids arrived. We are DINK for now, but Catholic and over 30.

      More like culture and socialization.

And you do realize that was tongue-in-cheek right? Some of you are tons of fun at parties.

I thought it was the Jewish mother-in-law (we are, so no knocks on me making religious stereotypes)

      Multiple wives, multitudinous offspring?

      Or devout, straight-laced serious folk?

I really know nothing about most religions. I should quit while I'm ahead. Back on topic...this does look good.

Issue with the V60CC is drive-e. We would have to grab a left over 16 Platinum.

Why is all of this so difficult. Nothing is appealing to either of us.

      What about a minivan?
Since kids are being forced on you then why not embrace it fully and go all in on a nice van?

That depends on your definition of "terrible". I think they are pretty awesome, but that's as somebody who owns a G35. It's pretty much just a taller hatchback version of my car but with more power. They did fix the teeny tiny rear legroom issue with the current elongated QX50, but the trunk is still small, it doesn't get great MPG, and is dated inside (it looks about the same as my 2007... not a bad thing, but not "modern"). That said, it's an n/a 325hp RWD/AWD lifted hatchback with a 7,500 RPM redline and hydraulic power steering for $35k new. So, that's pretty cool.

I'm having the opposite problem. I basically have 9 months to figure out my next set of wheels. There are soooo many appealing options.

When I first read the original post I thought maybe your wife started the I-85 fire with her Camaro.....

Forerunner = it's a trade-off between true off-road chops (lots) with on-road refinement (crappy). My wife's Highlander is getting long in the tooth and she does a lot of winter ice climbing and hiking in NH....so this is on her list. I keep asking her if she really needs this when the reality is that 98% of her driving doesn't need it...but hey, perhaps it makes you a little more bad-ass....

I keep seeing more and more of the Mercedes GLA/GLC compact SUVs around here in New England. Worth a look? Or hell, why not just go straight to a Geländewagen since you're saying budget doesn't matter.....
