Pretty sure it's a wrap, but this 911 looks pretty awesome in matte green.

Any previous color is available through Audi Exclusive

They also just introduced Azores Green on the new Q5. I have one coming in that I am excited to see

The Volvo is a really subtle shade called Willow Green - not as cool as that ridiculousl Irish Green GT4, but cool enough.

You've got your staple colors (whites, grays, blacks, etc.), and then you've got your trend colors. Not all product lines or factories (paint booths) have the budget to do a large number of colors for all markets. It's the same for things like apparel and cosmetics.

The U.S. got Bottle Green Metallic for the Beetle and Beetle Convertible last year. But Volkswagen also has Great Falls Green Metallic and Dark Moss Green Metallic lined up for the 2018 model year. These aforementioned colors are for the e-Golf and Tiguan, respectively.

Audi even offers it on their latest 2018 models as well: Gotland Green Metallic (all A5 and S5 variants) and Azores Green Metallic (Q5). And, of course, Porsche will let you paint your 911/718 any shade you want... for a price.

So I can't speak for all manufacturers, but at least when it comes to the Germans, they are certainly opening up with their atypical color options recently. Volkswagen in particular, what with their Dark Bronze Metallic, Habanero Orange and Kurkuma Yellow.

If we really want to see more of these unique hues on the road, then I think it falls to us as individuals and enthusiasts to vote with our wallets and lead by example by choosing something other than a shade of gray.
Past: 2013 Beetle Turbo Convertible, 2012 CC R-Line (manual), 2003 Golf GL 2.0L 2-Door (manual)

I love a great shade of green and want more shades available on more cars, but broadly speaking it can be a hard color for some folks to like.

At the risk of nerding out here (I'm a former pigment industry guy), green is about dead center in the visible light spectrum. It has two huge peaks in the middle of what is called the spectrophotmetric curve. What this adds up to is that our eyes are quite sensitive to very slight differences in shades of green, so a shade that looks great to one person can turn off another.

It's a good thing, then, that MINI called its color BRG II.

Greens (and teals) were really popular for a while in the 80's-to-late-90's but they've gone out of style. I think green is making a comeback though. Still, most automakers would rather sell 6 variations of black/grey/silver.
